mEinstein bills itself as the world's first community-driven AI: a voice-controlled personal AI system that can take instructions, observe, advise, reason, plan and act on your behalf — trained over four years across the areas of life people actually make decisions in.

The brief

Data brokers make an estimated $200 billion a year selling personal data that users never see a cent from. mEinstein's premise inverts that: put decision-making and the value of personal data back in the user's hands, as a smartphone app — “personal AI for the masses”.

The data-ownership layer is the heart of the product. Users keep full control: use the assistant, let the data accumulate, choose which categories to sell, and create a monthly income stream from their own usage — or delete it outright.

Inverse targeting

Rather than exposing personal data to advertisers, the decentralized marketplace has the AI match a user's needs to experts who can help, only when the user wants it. No one can see the underlying personal data — including the platform itself.
